Title: Designing binary social decisions (avec M. Kirneva)

Abstract:

We describe the first mechanism (besides integer games) that Nash implements the majority rule. Beyond voting for an option, each agent is requested by the mechanism to nominate half of the rest of the agents. 

The agents' messages generate a directed network, and the outcome depends on its structure. We also craft dynamic voting mechanisms where agents can vote and sequentially verify their votes.

These verification mechanisms implement the majority rule even in the presence of abstention or when agents have incomplete information on the preferences.
